CULTURE

Culture is generally defined as the integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior. In this awakening, culture has come to mean far more than that. Culture is the unifying principle that creates the whole that uplifts all the diverse elements of which it is composed. It is the whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Not only is culture the unifying principle, but it is culture in which all the diverse components that are its constituents thrive, grow, and evolve. Only to the extent that culture contributes the unity that allows diversity to thrive does it deserve to be considered a culture.

A culture is the expression of the truth of reality. Reality is diversity structured in unity. That which works is that which unifies while promoting diversity. That which does not work is that which divides, alienates and isolates, or that which promotes uniformity at the expense of diversity.

It is the great challenge and joy of this global spiritual awakening to create a true culture that nurtures the glory of all the aspects of life in such a way that each is mutually supportive of the evolution of each part of the whole no matter how diverse these parts are or become.
